Ann Marie, Kevin and Brandon Bouthillette raise Berkshire pigs, Black Angus cattle and Rhode Island Red chickens on the beautiful pastures next to their home. The know the pedigree of each animal, when it was born, what it has been fed, how it was raised and when it was harvested. Their Black Angus cattle are raised on pasture, with their grass diet being supplemented as needed with grain, including corn, hay and essential minerals. No hormones are injected nor fed to our animals. All of the pigs freely forage and root as they would in the wild in a ½-acre wooded area on the property. Blackbird’s Berkshire pork, as well as its Black Angus beef, are available at many of Rhode Island’s finest restaurants as well as at its farm stand in Smithfield.

Our Approach
